The Hurlers

Stone Circle

The Hurlers (Stone Circle) by tjj While visiting the ancient well at St Cleer paid a quick visit to the church. It was fairly standard inside except for one stained glass window which depicted St Petroc. In the left hand corner was a depiction circles the Hurlers and Cheesewring (photo seriously cropped so not brilliant, also the protective grill on the outside shows through the glass).

Nice find tjj. I wonder if there are any other megalithic sites on stained glass in churches? I'm guessing this is pretty rare subject matter for windows? thelonious Posted by thelonious
