A very splendid dolmen. I should know(but don't) - what sort of stone is that, looks similar to the Rollrights? tjj Posted by tjj

It's a really good one. The stone is something called "mudstone" (the same is used at nearby Tinkinswood). I'm not quite sure what that is precisely other than the fact it's sedimentary, but it's not quite the same as the oolitic limestone of the Rollrights - it does look almost identical in its gnarliness though. thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat
