Bourne Hill

Round Barrow(s)

Fieldnotes

17/03/2016 - I liked this one. We had a fine walk over from East Dean Hill trigpoint to the south, passing a fair few tumuli along the way. Good view all around from the top and a nice blue sky. We sat for awhile before heading off west to Wilmington Hill. thelonious Posted by thelonious

Totally agree. It's a fantastic walk and I had no idea how many barrows there were here until about three years ago. Are you walking the South Downs Way? A R Cane Posted by A R Cane

No, I just had a quick four day trip down (wish it was longer) to have a potter about the hills between Eastbourne and Burgess Hill. First time for me to the area and I thought it was just lovely. Very peaceful. thelonious Posted by thelonious
