Cwm Ian

Cairn(s)

Cwm Ian (Cairn(s)) by GLADMAN One assumes this is not a modern cairn, if only to judge by the fact that it wasn't placed where modern people unerringly would do so. Up there... and the interior base is too regular for field clearance.

I think it's a possible ring cairn, this modern pile is on one edge if I remember correctly. thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat

Very hard to interpret since it sits beside a field boundary of some description. Didn't find it on the way out so carried on to the hill fort instead. Found the map a bit misleading... GLADMAN Posted by GLADMAN

The first time I went was on the way up and I went past it and had to backtrack. The second was on the way down, when I knew where to look. I think I found the map a bit out as well. thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat
