End
Stantonbury (Hillfort) by 7Spring The bank on the left is Wansdyke, with a track going through it, taken on the North West side. It continues on down the hill through the woods, but disappears as it reaches the open ploughed field! Wansdyke traverses the old hill fort and turns into a steep bank on the North side. A trace can be seen as it descends the hill to the East, but then disappears again as the fields are reached. (Pity) Good home cooked food at the Wheatsheaf Pub on the A39 towards Bath.
