| Visited 13.6.12 Directions: On the left of the A970, just north of Skelberry, north Shetland I had a quick look at the mound as we headed up to Isbister – the furthest north we would be travelling on our holiday. A grass covered mound right next to the road. It appears to have been dug into? Canmore states: ‘A large horseshoe-shaped burnt mound, measuring 19m x 15m transversely and 2.1m maximum height’. |
