That brought back memories Sweetcheat, thank you;) times I have walked down that green lane to check on the wild flowers in the barrow meadow, orchids, cowslips and many others. There is a badger holt in the corner of the field, and that old lane is glorious in summer. moss Posted by moss

Preferred it with trees, they have pollarded the other one I see in a particularly unimaginative way losing all sense of balance, farmers are not gardeners, but I suppose less damage by roots... moss Posted by moss
