I've not spotted the lambs - the photos were take a couple of weeks ago - maybe they are just little sheep.
The ponds are really lovely yes, they are very close to the earthwork (separated by a road unfortunately) I'm going to do some research and then post a field note, a friend of mine recons it could be a bronze age barrow but it seems quite big to me.
It definitely feels like a sacred site.
