I'm doubtful that it has all gone. It's a big area and 5 scruffs a month for ten years is 600 search nights which wouldn't get it all. Ask any detectorist: each new ploughing throws up new finds ad infinitum. I know one place where, allegedly, they've held a 30 person rally for 20 years and it hasn't been "hammered" yet.

That is excellent news. Once it has been properly cleared at some point in the future by those useful detectorists, the hippies can hold a festival at the site of the buried scrap metal to celebrate the land being usefully returned to a pristine state. But who will clean up the septic ditches from the hippies green festival toilet?
After 2,000 years the waterlogged ditches at Bearsden Roman Fort showed the Morrocan Roman Recruits stationed there ate a lot of figs and pieces of their cooking vessels (tagines) were found in the still-wet sewerage layers. Local moss had been used in place of Andrex. Serious littering!

The good people of Bearsden and Milngavie have still not got over it!
