Whilst looking fer walks in the region I stumbled across this fascinating blog about the dig seasons at Crickley Hill from I guess the early 70's through the 80's and on. There's plenty to click on in terms of discoveries etc, but it was the social aspect and the characters involved, and the volumes of photos of those concerned that drew me in.
