ooh dear, more trouble brewing.

you've got to laugh though haven't you, what else can you do.
Personally I'd be quite happy with just the views of the coastline and a bit of imagination. But if it helps people be interested in history then that can't be too bad? (and at least this bit of decoration hasn't involved chipping away at the rocks). Ooh I don't know though. It just smacks of 'all publicity is good publicity' to me, just in time for the summer season. I don't much like it myself.

If anyone goes can they get me a snowglobe please. I will pay you back.

'For now, the statue remains hidden under sackcloth'.

And hopefully will stay there, although the tour companies will love it! At the moment the punters are taken to 'King Arthur's Footprint', a natural hollow in the rock at the highest point of Tintagel Island's southern side where it is said Arthur leapt across to the Mainland from. The punters stand in it and have their pix taken.
Such a shame as the beauty of the island itself and the staggering views take second place to the rubbish spouted.

If you really want to see something worth looking at other than a view and the remains of the castle itself, then check out the 'fogou' on the top.

Nobody really knows what this cave-like piece of art is all about but it is hand cut out of slate and fascinating to walk through. Half of it is complete the other half missing it's 'roof'.
