I came across this in a book I am reading on the Standing Stones and Stone Corcles of Perthshire (David Watson) and thought it may be of interest for those visiting Scottish sites.
‘The Scottish Outdoor Access Code allows you the right of access on foot, by clcle or on horseback over most land in Scotland, ranging from hills, farmland, field margins, lochs and rivers.
The right of access does NOT apply to:
Land with growing crops
Gardens
The immediate vicinity of buildings’
Pity they don’t have the same right of access in England and Wales!
