I'm not so sure, this site seems to cater for people (in Ireland anyway) who already have an interest in the topic or are actively looking for info on a place they know about. I posted a pic on Facebook of Haroldstown Dolmen and it was shared hundreds of times, went all around the world and came back to me a couple of times.

Only a handful of people knew where exactly it originated or really cared enough to find out, it was the image itself that carried the name of the site from person to person. There were literally hundreds of comments asking where it was, others saying they grew up nearby and plenty saying they had to go see it.

The Irish 'Heritage Council' sent out a press release last week to say their budget for grants to fund heritage initiatives has basically been squeezed out of existence, so these sites need all the promotion they can get or they may fall off the radar completely in favour of those that generate revenue.
