According to the Daily Telegraph a couple of days ago -
“...a quarter of motorists say they are distracted by Stonehenge when passing the monument. [They] “...report that the standing stones on Salisbury Plain have caught their attention when they should be keeping their eyes on the road ahead, and of those drivers, one in eight has crashed or come close to it.”
But get this bit -
“What, then, is to be done about it? Should Stonehenge be moved further from the road?” :-)
Oh dear... do keep up DT, new developments at Stonehenge seem to have gone over its head. This bit of news has been reported in several of the dailies – chose this one for the accompany pic of the traffic – jeeze...
