I'd like to think walkers act responsibly when in a walking environment particularly around ancient sites. Locally, it is also an issue on Windmill Hill where the barrows are becoming eroded by people walking on them. (Also WKLB of course) I can see that mountain biking could do a lot of damage and should be discouraged in whatever way that works - initially by educating bikers about the heritage aspect of the sites.
