I dont know what happened to my original post on HH.....!

Anyway, the HER arent too impressed with the state of Kinrive East long cairn and the pet burials which have seriously damaged the fabric of this monument . They have reported it to Historic Scotland......dont know what they can do to be honest. The family who lived here when the pets were buried have long since gone. The farm is now owned by a local haulage and fishing company.

I still find it difficult to reconcile the overall state of Kinrive east to its very close neighbour- Kinrive west which is a fine example of a Long Cairn.
