No need, it's all about the black stuff. The local council previously rejected the whole mine as ridiculous and unnecessary so how we got to this stage heaven knows.
The artist told the Society of Antiquaries the work "tries to reflect the universal patterns in nature: cell forms, DNA, the space-time continuum and black holes."
