You can pass through Ingatestone on the way, The Church of St Mary with St Leonard in Broomfield (with its amazing puddingstone) is not far away, and the Chapel of St Peter-on-the-Wall at Bradwell-on-Sea is within striking distance for the early starter. Happy Ēostre! Forgot to say that the Church of St Andrew at Greensted is only about half an hour’s drive from the Viper Pub. The church, “...is the oldest wooden church in the world, and probably the oldest wooden building in Europe still standing...”. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area today!
