The Saward article was right to use the the term labyrinthine .There are a bunch of labyrinths in Russia that he didn't mention , thatsome have considered to be neolithic but with the usual problems regarding dating impossible to prove and unlikely .
Its not pedantry to correct a misinformation Tiompan.
Referring to Stan Beckensall's book Prehistoric Rock Art in Britain there are photos in there of concentric rings with a line through them to the centre (13a&b Rings: Buttony and Achnabreck) and (14a&b Rings: Gled Law and Galloway) which do have a labyrinth appearance and in the case of Buttony have seven circles as in a seven fold maze. PRAiB is a great little reference book to check what is actually there as opposed to what you thought was there.
