To say the weather in Malta has been inclement this last week would be an understatement!
I went to check out the work in progress on Tuesday, in driving rain and howing wind, with horrendously flooded roads on the way ....
The whole site was shrouded in cloud - you could barely see Hagar Qim from its entrance hut, let alone Mnajdra or Filfa! I'd intended to walk along to Misqua Tanks but was soaked to the skin within 30 seconds of leaving the car, so settled for a brief chat with the staff on duty who informed me that work had had to be halted due to the weather yet again.
They still hope to be finished in February ......
