i think jane's got it covered there but walking up mither tap / bennachie is a must if you're energetic. Dunnideer too - and that's an easy walk - both amazing viewpoints and as they are both such an important aspect of the siting of most the circles, must be important.
also, if its raining http://www.archaeolink.co.uk/. i really like it and if you hang out 'til after it's closed you can grass slide down the roof..
the country around sunhoney and midmar is lovely. we were there last summer solstice and at about four pm you can watch the moon moving along above the recumbent at midmar
