I recall - as did Tom and others - with some puzzlement, how the amount we took on the gates at Rollright over the season, was many thousands down on the amount they had in their annual report. Mortagages anyone? Or what other clandestine things did they get up to? There are many of us who worked pretty close to them, as I'm sure you remember, who were all truly dedicated to the initial work there. But so many faded away as the back-biting, lies and misuse of funds escalated. It's all pretty unfortunate, and the huge majority of folks simply don't have a clue, as well you know. Oh well...
I'm down at Rollrights in 2 weeks though, then over to the Welsh stones. Perhaps we will meet!
