Pikestones Attack

This is extremely worrying, I visited here a week ago and saw some of the damage shown in Treehugger’s shots, but whilst nasty then,it was not quite as extensive as it is now, whoever did this has returned to continue their attack on the spiral. Rivington does attract the attention of local morons but this seems to be the work of someone with a specific target in mind.

Tree, Did you see any sign of the stones used to hit the spiral? I found nothing, which after seeing the increased damage leads me to wonder whether a hammer has been used, and also raises the question of whether the attacker will return.

I have photo’s on my laptop from last week which I’ll post later.
