Back in the early 1930s Ballinderry Crannog (Co Westmeath) was excavated. Recently the evidence was reassessed :

It's 10th Century, so a bit out of timeline for TMA per se, but it's very interesting reading. Love the pictures on pages 10 & 11 for instance.

It is also very good to see old excavations being revisited.
