Hydrogen power will (probably) never happen. Hydrogen is a power storage medium like coal or oil, not a power source like wind or solar. You need to produce the hydrogen, which obviously takes energy. The power to create the hydrogen (by splitting water for instance) would probably have to come from wind/wave generated electricity. Naturally creating the hydrogen is not going to be an efficient operation, so you will use more power to produce it than you will gain from it. Might as well just use the electricity in the first place.
