Not quite. That was Gravesy again (Needles o' Stone + also his Dowsing: Application & Techniques).

"And that the King Stone, if photographed using an infrared camera 10 minutes after sunset on a day of uninterrupted sunshine, would produce the most magnificent laser displays..."

Another bittovan exaggeration - honest. Gerrim told. (wot was he smoking at the time...?) Check out the two main books detailing Dragon Project at Rollright: Don Robins, "Circles of Silence" & Devereux's "Places of Power." Both of 'em keep cropping up on eBay for next to nowt & absolutely necessary reading for stones-folk like usselves!
