| There was a small dig at Winterbourne Bassett last week which proved very interesting. Amongst the finds were 2 definate stone sockets and a possible third. This dig confirms Dave Fields' article in the last WAM that the circle was in fact in the field across the road from were the stones are. The stones ion the map seem to form part of a natural sarcen drift. New grid ref 093 754 PeteG ps.
