Archsearch comes up with the one record at SV878124 , Iron Age cist/cremation/crouched inhumation i.e. nothing earlier . But it does show North Hill as an excavated Bronze Age cairn with cist (1862) and as a chambered cairn (1930) , both at SV8713 .
A topogaphical survey of Great Porth (1985 )revealed a prehistoric enclosure and wall at SV8714 . Also at SV8714 , referenced to a 1999 excavation at Hillside Farm , an Iron Age cist (250~125 BCE) with a sword and bronze mirror could have been part of a cemetery with an associated field system .
