I know that Israel lobby always seems to give out temper tantrums, most recently concerning Jimmy Carter's most recent book.

What really disgusts me are the likes of David Horowitz who strikes me as a hate-mongerer.

What has become obvious to everyone but neoconservatives and zionists is that hardline Israeli policy has more or less been instrumental in wiping out any lingering sympathy for what the Jews endured under the Nazis. Some have seized on this as a bolstering point for their existing antisemitism, and others have veered into rank Jew-hating, from what was previously a legitimate criticism of a government's abuses.

Of course, there are those who will hate the Jews regardless of what they do, but it's unfortunate that the assholes in charge of Israeli policy keep on giving them the ammunition.

It's only fair to point out in this context that the Islamic leaders of the world haven't been any better. They certainly haven't done anything to reign in their own extremist elements- to the contrary- they seem to support them thru their silence and inaction.

The philosopher/painter/author/sculptor/ list goes on and on Jonathan Miller once deemed Israel a 'Lunatic Asylum in the middle of the desert'. He's Jewish himself (lapsed), and like any sane person deplores anti-semitism wherever it exists. However, he can't fathom out the mentality of the Israeli state in any relation to the Jewish Faith (I beleive his family came to Britain as Polish refugees, might be wrong-ish) to save his life. Does Israel even reflect upon or recognise those atrocities?
Probably not. It's found a way to keep pepole scared, separate, and loyal.
