Just a thought and a bit of a long shot that is probably unlikely to get a much of a response but...

Are there any submerged site in the UK that are explorable using snorkling or scuba equipment?
I am thinking of such places as man made lake or naturally flooded areas that are now permanently underwater.

Are there any people that do underwater archaeology on here, even reletively recent stuff (cover your ears/eyes TMA Eds).
It is something I have been interested in for years and was wondering if it was a viable hobby?

I will start to investigate some of them and come the warmer weather, see if I can take a closer look...

Yo Chris.

Tonight on UKTV History from 8pm - repeat of Coast, "Alice Roberts learns about a land bridge between East Anglia and Europe..." Seem to remember that this contained a bit of archaeology (but even if it didn't it'll be worth watching with Alice presenting it :-)
