Now reopened after a major refurbishment.
There is a decent-sized "Scotland's First People" Section, including stone axes, arrowheads, flint chips, a Viking hogback stone, a carved boat, carved balls from Aberdeenshire and an excellent lump of Rock Art, Greenland 3.
As for refreshments etc, there's a coffee place in the central hall but the Cafe in the lower ground floor is far better; and good value.
(Parking cost as of Nov06 was £1 for 4 hours) |
