I arrived on the Friday evening with friends staying till late Sunday afternoon. Langcliffe is a nice safe site for children. The only thing I would criticize is the state of the toilets. 1. Not enough facilities in the gents i.e. only3 showers, 3 toilets and 3 urinals. I think this must be a major problem when the site is full. 2. These facilities are not what I would call clean, in the sinks that have plugs there is grease and hair in the plug hole and a strong smell comes out from there when the hot water is run. Even after the cleaner has been in they don't give the impression of being clean and I would think they are not cleaned very often if at all. 3. On the Sunday before we left the cleaner had cleaned the toilets but there was still a strong smell of urine. I would suggest not only a mop but strong disinfectant be used also lots of hot water and a Squeegee be used. 4. My girlfriend said the same about the ladies. Rant over, I would be happy to go back if the above was sorted. |

A good base from which to explore the Settle area. The staff are friendly and the toilets and showers are clean. The place is over-run with ducks who are definitely not backward in coming forward. They ate my dogs dinner. |
