We're Stoney nuts self-confessed .... happy to impart our scant knowledge of stoney things to others and cook 'em breakfast too. If you knew our overheads you'd understand our costs ... £95-225 based on two sharing a room. The Lodge has had more copies of The Mod. Aunty through the door and under the arms of it's guests than a Central London Waterstones ... it therefore seemed polite and appropriate to say thank you to those who've stayed somewhere they'd see it!
The tourist board just gave The Lodge a four diamond award in October .... we were called friendly, unobtrusive and helpful .... We're 100% veggie, totally non-smoking and if you like stoney things, you'll like The Lodge. We opened in May 2003 and by Nov. 2003 over 1000 guests had stayed .... and only one complaint ... Complaint I hear you ask????

Not a cheap option, but well worth it - individually designed rooms, the best views, local info and a charming host with quick wit and a very surreal sense of humour!! |

I think the guy from the kids series Mr Benn recently opened a B&B.
This place was totally off the wall and cooked us vegan food! Walls are covered in loads of pictures of Avebury and old pictures of everywhere Stoney! Easy going relaxed place veggie/vegan food, wouldn't let us smoke but the guy drove us to Swindon for free to get our bus! |
