The new DVD 'Standing with Stones' has just gone on sale from this site. It is a feature length documentary that visits over 100 megalithic sites in the UK and Ireland in a journey that starts at the Ballowall Barrow at the tip of Cornwall and finishes at the Tomb of the Eagles on Orkney. Also on the DVD are; a film interview with the two creators, Michael Bott and Rupert Soskin; Outtakes; Unused footage; The original 10 minute pilot film; a slide show of the making of the film and a full-length producer/writer's commentary.

Born in the Isle of Man and moved to Banbury at the age of 6. (With my parents, that is!). Schooled in Banbury and left there in 1971. Moved to London and went to the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama and got my first job as an actor doing weekly rep. at Frinton-on-Sea for Jack Watling's company in 1976.
Followed: 25 years as a professional actor doing mainly theatre , including long stints at the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal National Theatre.
Met wonderful wife Sharon in 1985, married in 1986, moved from Balham back to near Banbury in 1987, the same year that our daughter, Elizabeth (now called Eliza) was born. In 1989 saw the arrival of son Jonty to complete the pack.
Sometime around 1998/9 began to move away from performing to the other side of the camera and have since made 3 documentaries for DVD and one for Channel 5 and Discovery Channel. To cut a very long story short, I have just fulfilled a great ambition to make a film about the Standing Stones of Britain & Ireland. The last two years have been completely given over to the completion of this crazy project ( crazy because it was made by only two people, myself and my mate, Rupert Soskin) and I'm now very happy to say that it is available to buy on DVD, at last. I now live in Wellesbourne, near Stratford-upon-Avon and spend much time with Sharon enjoying the countryside round about.
