Just an average little pub, but it makes a great base for trips around the local area, it being within walking distance of Boskawen-Un, The Merry Maidens, Tregiffian, Boleigh Fogou etc.
The village of St. Buryan is on a bus-route from Penzance to Land's End, and also has a post office and a Londis with a cash machine and homemade pasties. There's also a local mini cab service (ask at the bar in the pub) which we found useful for ferrying us back to Penzance (£8 from Boleigh) after our feet had become too tired. |

Always good for a pint when you're trekking round the Henge.
Spent the night there a couple of years ago, and thought it was perhaps a little expensive, but it is the only pub in the world to be in a stone circle, so maybe we can forgive them.
When I stayed there they had late night and early morning entering/leaving restrictions, so if you stay and want to get up to watch the sun come up - or wander around the area in the dead of night, it might be wise to ask first.
Some reasonable veggie dishes. |
