Mousehole, Cornwall

At the southern end of Mousehole (pronounced "Mouzel") quay, rising from the water, is Merlin's Rock.

Here Merlin is said to have prophesied:

There shall land on the Rock of Merlin
Those who shall burn Paul, Penzance and Newlyn.

In 1595 four Spanish galleys fulfilled this "prophesy."
