The well is situated near the present village hall, but isn't easily possible for the public to view the well, as it is behind a brick wall with a locked gate due to the unsafe nature of the water. The local Parish Council has recently made attempts to gain funding for renovation work but as far as I know it fell through.
Pastscape has this to say:
"A holy well known since medieval times situated on the north side of the village street to the east of a cottage whose walls form one side. The well was built over in 1947 when a district water shortage caused the local authority to erect pumping apparatus over the spring but this apparatus has now been dismantled. The well is now located within a recess enclosed on the south side by a high wall and is no longer in regular use."
