SX77255165 Visited 3.5.11 I spotted this site on my O/S just off the A381, to the south of the hamlet of Halwell If taking the minor road to the north it is signposted 'Little Oaks'. If taking the track to the south it is signposted 'Stanborough Hundred'. DO NOT attempt to drive down the track to the east of the site unless you happen to be in a tractor! After risking the exhaust / suspension of my car I was rewarded with a field with nothing in it! I could see no trace of the Hillfort and would therefore recommend not wasting your time in visiting. I would rather recommend you check out Halwell Camp a mile or two to the north – easy to access and much more to see.

The outline of the camp is clearly visible from the trees planted around it. (Another camp, the Old Man camp, is supposed to be in the field to the south, but there's little evidence of it.)	Posted by Dadge 13th May 2020ce
The ring of trees look very impressive on google, however, whether there is anything to see once inside will need a site visit to find out, looks like you would have to go right up to the farm and through to the barns into the enclosure	Posted by costaexpress 14th May 2020ce
