They seem to have cleared old trees and then planted new trees on top of the barrow, which doesn't seem quite right..... love the bluebells in Holmbury Camp. moss Posted by moss

Agree.

I wandered down the only track without "Private etc...." signs on thinking it might have been left for people like us. Sadly, I think not, so grabbed a few pictures of one of the finest bell barrows I've ever seen before leaving. I would have thought planting trees upon a scheduled ancient monument is illegal? Then again I'm not a legal expert. Thank goodness.
