A group of seven carved menhirs in 8 meter diameter circle. The circle sits on top of a mound.

The stones are listed as being 2 meters tall.

The central stone is missing.

Just visited this circle on my way back from the wonderful Weris in Belgium. Couple of comments
1. The circle and setting look like something you would see on a roundabout in a city centre, they very much have a artificial feel to them despite the agricultural setting
2. There is a broken stone, or two separate stones, hidden in the undergrowth on the hill, is this the missing stone?
3. Do we know why the stones were shaped as they are? To date I have not seen this elsewhere
Couple of fascinating sites to the West of Arras made for a good morning overall
