Hands on History week - Chippenham As part of the national "Hands on History" week run in conjunction with the BBC, Chippenham Museum & Heritage Centre will be running the series of half term activity workshops as shown below..
Event: Prehistoric Crafts & Jewellery - Half Term Activity Workshop, Chippenham Museum & Heritage Centre
Dates: February 21st, 10:30 - 12:30 & 13:30 - 15:30
Discover how our ancesterors would have dressed and adorned themselves by having a go at making your own prehisoric jewellery. Pop into this drop in session for this family activity for all ages. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult.
Event: Be a Prehistoric Artist - Half Term Activity Workshop, Chippenham Museum & Heritage Centre
Dates: February 22nd, 10:30 - 12:30 & 13:30 - 15:30
We'll be looking at prehistoric art work so come and have a go at making your own cave painting! Join our family drop in activity session for all ages, children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult.

We'll be looking at how our ancestors worked and lived. Have a go at making our own clay lamps and pots at this drop in family activity session for all ages. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult.

At today's Ancients workshop you can be a prehistoric architect and have a go at designing and building uour own model Round House. Join our drop in family activity session for all ages, children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult.

Event: Build a Henge at Chippenham Museum Saturday Club, Chippenham Museum & Heritage Centre
Dates: February 26th, 10:30 - 12:30
Today's Saturday Club has an Ancients theme looking at the major achievements of our prehistoric ancestors, stone circles and henges. Come and have a go as we try to discover how they built Stonehenge and have a go at building a henge ourselves.
