I love those gneiss stones (visited Callanish area circles in 2001), and if I ever get there again, this site will be a priority to visit. The angle you've captured here shows the stones looking like a group of hooded priests looking down at the water!	Posted by AngieLake 23rd January 2011ce


To me the grain makes these Outer Hebridean stones look as if they are made of wood. Maybe that was the intention... in a land where wood was very hard to source?	Posted by GLADMAN 23rd January 2011ce
