Cerrig Cyfamod Glyndwr

Stone Row / Alignment

Cerrig Cyfamod Glyndwr (Stone Row / Alignment) by GLADMAN The wilderness of Cwm Hyddgen from the south, indicating the approx position of the alignment beside the Afon Hyddgen. The burial cairns upon Carn Hyddgen are just visible top right of image, with further examples located upon Banc Llechwedd-Mawr out of shot to the left. It was here that Glyndwr apparently ambushed an English army during the rebellion, an act that would certainly explain the association. Incidentally, the skyline mountain range is - unless I'm mistaken - Cadair Idris. The light is not enhanced, by the way.
