Carnedd Llewelyn

Cairn(s)

Carnedd Llewelyn (Cairn(s)) by GLADMAN The Ffynnon Llugwy - source of the Afon Llugwy - from Carnedd Llewelyn. Again we have the placement of a Bronze Age burial overlooking a river source..... the river is perhaps best seen at Swallow Falls (actually Rhaeadr Ewynnol, the 'Foaming Waterfall', if you want to impress the locals by using the vernacular) a couple of miles west of Betws-y-Coed.

and this one. I'd love to turn this into a dramatic painting. I'll have to get my walking boots on next time I'm in Wales. rocket Posted by rocket
