Moel Goedog West (Ring Cairn) by GLADMAN Phew... this cairn circle has one of the best backdrops of any I've seen in these Isles.

What a great situation for a site. Is it on a ridge, or just below a ridge?

Hi TE. The hillside rises very sharply behind the line of sight to the summit hillfort of Moel Goedog... so guess you could say mid-way (ish). GLADMAN Posted by GLADMAN

Ta Gladman,
Your other photo sort of confirms that. In the other photo there is a stone mound in the background. Any significance?

I believe the cairn is clearance... more's the pity. Would love to be proved wrong. GLADMAN Posted by GLADMAN
