Moel Goedog

Ring Cairn

Moel Goedog (Ring Cairn) by GLADMAN Phew... this cairn circle has perhaps the best backdrop of any I've yet seen in these Isles. Aside from the numerous prehistoric sites........

Gladman,

What a great situation for a site. Is it on a ridge, or just below a ridge?

Regards,

Hi TE. The hillside rises very sharply behind the line of sight to the summit hillfort of Moel Goedog... so guess you could say mid-way (ish). GLADMAN Posted by GLADMAN

Ta Gladman,
Your other photo sort of confirms that. In the other photo there is a stone mound in the background. Any significance?

I believe the cairn is clearance... more's the pity. Would love to be proved wrong. GLADMAN Posted by GLADMAN
