The lichen is astonishing, I have never seen lichen that colour before. Great image Gladman, this dolmen (along with Carreg Samson) will draw me back to Pembrokeshire before too long. tjj Posted by tjj

Nice pic chap...Funny enough I was there on Wednesday.
Did you notice that the capstone is only touching two diagonally opposite supporting pillars....I just had to see if it would move!
I also wondered whether the rich colour of the lichen had anything to do with the berries from the overhanging tree?

Of course not Moss....just gently leant on it a little bit ;o)

I did enjoy my short trip, but made even shorter by the weather and a minor emergency back home. So I didn't make it to Presceli this time but I did visit almost 20 sites and climb a (small) mountain or two in the time I was there :o)

It is a great little dolmen, isn't it? Must admit I've seen that red lichen on a few sites before, but the transfer may well have accentuated the shade a tad.

I need to do some more walking on the Preselis, too.. only spent a couple of days to date, but it's a magical range worthy of much more.
