Ashleys Copse

Hillfort

Fieldnotes

Ashleys copse is the earthwork remains of an Iron Age hillfort .The Hampshire Wiltshire border runs right through the middle of this site. The site is half wooded where you find the best preserved earthworks, but you can still see some of the earthworks on the eastern spur of the hill. Not an easy site to get to so pictures taken from footpath to the east of the site. ginger tt Posted by ginger tt
