From utter darkness to a thin mist: Early Excavators at Avebury Lecture by Dr Ros Cleal on Wednesday, 28 March at the University of Bath in Swindon.
"This lecture looks at the work of early investigators of Avebury from the mid-17th century to the mid-20th century. It includes the work of nationally known antiquaries and archaeologists such as John Aubrey and William Stukeley, and those of more limited, local fame such as Maud Cunnington or Alexander Keiller."
