Black Dike Moor Pit Alignment by fitzcoraldo These pits are a little difficult to find as they are not as well defined as the Middle Rigg pits. The thing to look out for is the change in vegetation. The pits are one of the few places on the open moor where ferns, as opposed to braken, can be found.
